To help our wives! We (the two Founders) both got married to attorneys, and they were BOTH complaining every night about the software they had to use in their law firms. The servers would crash, they lost their data, time and money was lost, and more. We looked at the competitive landscape, and knew we could do a better job, while solving a real pain point for them, and 1.3 million other attorneys in the US.
To help law firms automate their firms, so they can get more done in less time. Our goal is to help them (and our wives), spend less time managing their firms, and more time making money (or spending time with their family)!
The day we hit our 1,000th customer. For us, this was a pivotal turning point in the company that made us finally realize we hit product market fit, and people really loved our software. The positive feedback that kept pouring in kept motivating us to continue building features that would save them time, and automate their firms.
Having balance in life. In the early days of any startup, every entrepreneur knows you need to be 110% committed. When you work 18 hours every day, you often forget to eat, work out, or spend time with family and friends. Over time, as the company becomes more successful and you start having a bigger team that can help with your work, is when things started calming down and going back to normal.
“If at first you don’t succeed, try again.”
I can’t tell you how many business ideas have failed, or were only minor successes. Everything is a learning experience.
